Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC), South Central Zone, has released recruitment notifications dated 16.09.2026 for engagement of Hospitality Monitors and Tourism Monitors on a fixed-term contractual basis. A total of 28 posts are available, including 22 Hospitality Monitor posts and 6 Tourism Monitor posts.

Eligible candidates are required to appear for a walk-in interview at the prescribed venue along with the completed application form, original documents, attested copies and photographs.

IRCTC Vacancy Details 2026

The 22 Hospitality Monitor vacancies include 4 OBC backlog vacancies. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending on IRCTC requirements at the time of engagement.

IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Eligibility 2026

Candidates applying for Hospitality Monitor posts should possess any one of the specified qualifications, including B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration, BBA/MBA in Culinary Arts, B.Sc. Hotel Management and Catering Science, or M.B.A in Tourism and Hotel Management from the prescribed recognized institutions or universities.

The upper age limit is 35 years for UR candidates. Age relaxation is applicable to eligible reserved-category and Ex-Serviceman candidates as per the prescribed Government guidelines.

IRCTC Tourism Monitor Eligibility 2026

For Tourism Monitor posts, candidates can qualify with a 3-year Bachelor's degree in Tourism, or a 3-year Bachelor's degree in any stream along with a 1-year diploma in Travel & Tourism, with at least 1 year of relevant experience in Tour Operation or Travel Agency Firms.

Alternatively, candidates with a 3-year Bachelor's degree in any stream and a 2-year Post Graduation Degree/Diploma in Travel & Tourism require at least 2 years of relevant experience.

The upper age limit for Tourism Monitors is 35 years for UR candidates. Applicable age relaxation is provided according to the prescribed Government guidelines.

IRCTC Salary and Allowances 2026

Hospitality Monitors

• CTC: Rs. 30,000/- per month
• Daily Allowance: Rs. 350/- per day for specified on-duty train work
• Lodging Charges: Rs. 240/- where an outstation night stay is involved
• National Holiday Allowance: Rs. 384/- per National Holiday if worked
• Medical Insurance: Rs. 1,400/- per month up to 35 years and Rs. 2,000/- per month for 36–50 years, subject to the prescribed conditions

Tourism Monitors

• CTC: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 35,000/- per month based on qualification and experience
• Daily Allowance: Rs. 350/- per day for specified on-duty train work
• Lodging Charges: Rs. 240/- where an outstation night stay is involved
• National Holiday Allowance: Rs. 384/- per National Holiday if worked
• Medical Insurance: Rs. 800/- per month, subject to the prescribed conditions

IRCTC Selection Process 2026

The selection process for both posts is based on a walk-in interview. Candidates must complete the prescribed application form and submit it at the interview venue along with the required documents.

2. Appear at the applicable walk-in interview venue.
3. Submit original documents, one set of attested copies and two recent passport-size photographs.
4. Attend the personal interview.
