The recruitment is for contractual positions that will initially be for a period of 11 months, which may be extended based on performance and requirements. Candidates will be placed in roles related to supporting programme implementation at the headquarters and Panchayat levels. Age Limit: Candidates must not be above 40 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.

Educational Qualification:
  • Passed Class XII (Higher Secondary).
  • Diploma or Certificate in Computer Application from a recognised institute.
  • For Data Entry Operator, a data entry speed of minimum 8000 key depressions is required along with knowledge of office applications.
  • For Gram Rozgar Sewak, graduates with computer knowledge and one year of experience in a relevant field will be preferred.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be expected to carry out specific duties aimed at supporting programme operations under MGNREGA. The job responsibilities differ for each post and are outlined below:

Data Entry Operator

The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for compiling reports, performing daily data entry related to programme implementation, and assisting in the preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports. The incumbent will work at the headquarters or block level under the supervision of the Programme Officer and District Programme Coordinator.

Gram Rozgar Sewak

The Gram Rozgar Sewak will provide support at the Panchayat level by preparing annual development plans, maintaining job seeker records, issuing job cards, and ensuring effective implementation of the scheme. The role also includes monitoring ongoing works, disbursing wages, and maintaining detailed records of programme activities.

Selection Process

The method of selection for each post varies and is based on merit and personal interviews. The details are as follows:

  • Data Entry Operator: The selection will be based on a skill/computer test, educational qualifications, and personal interview. Candidates must qualify in a typing test requiring a minimum speed of 8000 key depressions in MS Word.
  • Gram Rozgar Sewak: The selection will be based on educational qualifications, a computer skill test (minimum 4000 key depressions), and a personal interview.

Candidates who qualify in the skill test will be shortlisted for the interview stage. The final merit list will be prepared based on performance in educational qualifications, the skill test, and the interview. In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given to candidates with higher age or higher educational qualifications, as applicable.
