The Consultant (Business Development) will work on initiatives that enhance cargo movement, passenger transport, and infrastructure utilisation in inland waterways. Key functions include:

• Identifying potential business opportunities in the waterways sector.
• Engaging with stakeholders, including industry bodies, logistics operators, and investors.
• Preparing proposals, feasibility reports, and marketing material for IWAI projects.
• Coordinating with technical and operations teams for project implementation.
• Monitoring trends in cargo and passenger movement and suggesting improvement strategies.
• Assisting in organising events, roadshows, and stakeholder meetings to promote inland water transport.

The role requires strong communication skills, analytical ability, and a clear understanding of business development in a government or transport infrastructure setting.
