Essential Qualifications
Ph.D. in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, Applied Physics, or Nano Science. Must have research experience in electronic structure calculations using DFT in bulk/low-dimensional systems. Desirable: Experience with DFT-based water splitting studies on materials Experience using VASP software Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis may also apply Publication Requirement: Minimum 2 first-author papers in peer-reviewed journals with impact factor >2.
Age Limit
Upper age limit: 35 years as on application date. (Relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules.)
Fellowship
₹80,000/- per month (consolidated) Candidates awaiting Ph.D. award may receive a lower amount until degree is confirmed.
Terms of Appointment
Appointment initially for 12 months; extendable for another year (6 months at a time) based on performance. Fellowship can be availed only once in a career. Must not have worked for Ph.D. at IASST. No other fellowship allowed during tenure. Leave entitlement as per IASST norms.
