Contract Duration and Terms
The initial contract is for one year and may be extended annually based on performance and requirement. Maximum tenure as Law Research Associate in NCLT is 3 years on a contract basis. Selected candidates must commit to serve for a full 3-year term. The assignment may be terminated before one year with two weeks' notice for unsatisfactory performance. Joining must be done within the time stated in the appointment letter. No extension requests are entertained. The position does not guarantee future regular employment or extension beyond the contract period. Any LRA wishing to resign within one year must provide six weeks’ prior notice through the Private Secretary of the assigned Hon’ble Member/President.
