Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Citizen of India, Nepalese, or Person of Indian origin from specified countries with certificate of eligibility.
  • Educational Qualification: LLB degree (3-year after graduation or 5-year after 10+2) with minimum 55% marks from BCI-recognized institution. CLAT PG 2025 score mandatory.
  • Age Limit: 21-27 years as on 01 July 2026. No relaxation provided.
  • Marital Status: Unmarried men and women only. Marriage during training or after application leads to cancellation.
  • Document Requirements: LLB and graduation certificates, BCI registration, CLAT PG 2025 score, CGPA conversion certificate, and all mark sheets.

Selection Process

  1. Online application submission at joinindianarmy.nic.in from 27 Jan to 27 Feb 2026.
  2. Shortlisting based on CLAT PG 2025 scores for SSB interview.
  3. SSB Interview (up to 5 days) at selected centres: Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar.
  4. Medical Examination for SSB-recommended candidates.
  5. Merit list preparation based on SSB performance and document verification.
  6. Issuance of joining letter for training commencement at OTA Chennai.

Training & Post-Training Details

  • Training Duration: 49 weeks at OTA Chennai (Government expense).
  • Physical Standards: Minimum run, push-ups, sit-ups, swimming, lunges, squats as per OTA norms.
  • Post-Training Qualification: Post-Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies from University of Madras.
  • Commission Rank & CTC: Lieutenant, ₹17-18 Lakh per annum including allowances.
  • Allowances & Benefits: Military Service Pay, DA, Transport, Dress Allowance, Children Education, Hostel Subsidy, Special Forces/Para Allowances, AGIF insurance, LTC, medical facilities, and post-graduate diploma.
