Detailed Information

The NCC Special Entry scheme is intended for graduates holding NCC ‘C’ certificates and for wards of battle casualties. Candidates must meet minimum educational, NCC service, and age requirements. Training will be conducted at Officers Training Academy, Chennai, lasting 49 weeks. Upon completion, candidates will be commissioned as officers with structured pay levels and additional allowances. The selection process includes shortlisting, SSB interview, medical examination, and final merit preparation. Minimum physical and academic standards apply, and candidates must provide original certificates at the time of SSB interview.

NCC Men (General Category) 63, Wards of Battle Casualties 7. Training stipend: Rs. 56,100 per month. Post-commission pay: Rs. 56,100 – Rs. 2,18,200 with additional allowances including MSP, DA, Para Reserve, Technical Allowances, Transport, CEA, Hostel Subsidy, and Ration in Kind.
Age Limit 19 to 25 years as on 01 July 2026. Born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2007. Age relaxation applicable as per government rules for reserved categories. Age will be verified using Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate. Candidates must meet the prescribed limits to be eligible for selection.
Shortlisting Criteria Shortlisting is based on NCC ‘C’ certificate grade (maximum 50 bonus marks) and graduation performance (maximum 50 bonus marks). Marks are assigned according to grade and percentage achieved in graduation. Maximum 100 bonus marks considered for shortlisting prior to SSB interview.
SSB Interview Conducted in two stages over five days at designated centres: Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, and Jalandhar. Includes psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interview. SSB assesses leadership, aptitude, and suitability for commissioning. Selected candidates move to medical examination and final merit preparation for joining.
Physical Standards 2.4 km run: 10 min 30 sec; Push-ups: 30; Pull-ups: 40; Sit-ups: 6; Squats: 2×30; Lunges: 2×10; Swimming: 25 m with any stroke. Minimum standards must be met before training commencement. Candidates not meeting minimum physical requirements will be declared ineligible for training.
Training & Commission 49-week course at OTA, Chennai starting October 2026. Training covers military, leadership, and professional skills required for commissioned officers. Graduation and NCC certification must be verified before joining. Post-training commissioning as Lieutenant with Level-10 pay; promotions according to rank and service tenure. CTC approx 17–18 lakh per annum, excluding additional allowances and benefits.

Only one application per candidate is permitted. Download and retain application copy with Roll Number. Applications submitted after deadline or incomplete will not be considered. Final verification occurs at SSB interview.
Required Documents at SSB Printout of application with photograph, Matriculation/12th/Graduation certificates and mark sheets, NCC ‘C’ certificate, CGPA conversion certificate (if applicable), battle casualty documents for wards, and declaration for final year candidates. Originals plus self-attested copies must be carried for verification. Digilocker certificates will not be accepted in lieu of originals.
