Age Limit (as on 01 July 2027) 16.5 to 19.5 years. Only unmarried male and female candidates born between 01 July 2007 and 01 July 2010 are eligible. Date of birth verified from matriculation certificate only.
Nationality Indian citizen or subject of Nepal, or persons of Indian origin from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa, or Vietnam intending permanent settlement in India. Certificate required for non-Indian citizens.
Selection Process
  • Stage 1: Written Examination (Mathematics 300 marks, General Ability Test 600 marks; objective type; bilingual)
  • Stage 2: SSB Interview (OIR, PP&DT, GTO, Psychology tests; 4-day process; CPSS for Flying Branch)
  • Stage 3: Medical Examination at Armed Forces Medical Services Hospitals
Candidates must meet minimum marks in both written and SSB stages. Final merit is based on combined scores, subject to medical fitness.
Salary / Stipend During NDA Training: Rs. 56,100 per month plus pocket allowance, accommodation, uniform, medical. After commissioning: Lieutenant Level 10: Rs. 56,100-1,77,500; Captain Level 10B: Rs. 61,300-1,93,900; Major Level 11: Rs. 69,400-2,07,200; Lt. Colonel Level 12A: Rs. 1,21,200-2,12,400; Colonel Level 13: Rs. 1,30,600-2,15,900. Additional allowances include MSP, Dearness, Dress, Transport, Children Education, Hostel Subsidy, Para, and Special Forces Allowances. Insurance coverage is provided during training and post-commissioning.
