The Agniveer Recruitment Rally 2026 is conducted to enroll candidates for four years of service under the Agnipath scheme. Vacancies are expected to exceed 25,000 across different categories including General Duty, Technical, Clerk and Tradesman. Selection involves a Computer Based Test followed by a physical fitness test, physical measurement test, medical examination and document verification. Candidates must satisfy educational standards, age conditions, and physical criteria before participating in the recruitment rally conducted at designated locations.

Agniveer General Duty / Technical / Clerk / Tradesman Educational qualification ranges from Class 8, Class 10, or Class 12 pass depending on the post category. For General Duty, Class 10 pass with minimum 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject is required. Candidates awaiting Class 10 results may apply subject to producing marksheet at later stage. Approximate 25,000+ vacancies (expected). Four-year service tenure under Agnipath scheme with structured annual package and benefits.
Age Limit Minimum 17½ years and maximum 21 years. Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 July 2009 (both dates inclusive) are eligible. Relaxation up to 30 years is applicable for widows of Defence personnel who died in harness as per rules. Age eligibility is determined as per official cut-off date. Valid proof of date of birth must be produced during document verification.
Physical Standards Minimum height 162 cm with chest expansion of 5 cm. Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per prescribed BMI chart. Certain regions such as North East states, Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Ladakh region and recognized tribal areas receive 4 cm height relaxation. Physical measurement test and fitness test are mandatory during rally stage. Candidates must meet prescribed standards to continue in the process.
Physical Fitness Test 1.6 km run: Group I up to 7 minutes 45 seconds; Group II up to 8 minutes 30 seconds. Long jump of 10 feet and high jump of 3 feet must be qualified. Provisions exist for hilly terrain conditions. Performance in fitness test contributes to merit determination along with written examination results.
Selection Process Phase I: Online Common Entrance Examination (Computer Based Test). Phase II: Recruitment Rally including Physical Fitness Test, Physical Measurement Test, Medical Examination and Document Verification. Final merit list is prepared based on aggregate performance in examination and rally stages subject to vacancy availability.
Salary Structure First Year: Rs. 30,000 per month. Second Year: Rs. 33,000 per month. Third Year: Rs. 36,500 per month. Fourth Year: Rs. 40,000 per month. In addition to basic package, Risk and Hardship Allowance, Ration, Dress and Travel Allowances are admissible as per Army rules.
Medical Standards Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, free from diseases or disabilities that may interfere with duties. Detailed medical examination is conducted according to Army medical standards. Only medically fit candidates are included in final selection list.
