Eligible candidates must have a full-time B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Science & Engineering, or Renewable Energy, or a full-time M.Tech/M.E. in relevant specializations, or an M.Sc. in Physics/Basic Sciences with at least 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI/CGPA. Preference will be given to candidates with valid GATE/CSIR-UGC JRF/National Eligibility Test scores and expertise in COMSOL Multiphysics, Ansys, or 3D thermal simulation software, with relevant research publications. The maximum age limit is 28 years, with relaxation for reserved categories. The fellowship is ₹37,000 + HRA for the first two years and ₹42,000 + HRA in the third year upon promotion to SRF.
