Pay and Allowances
  • Appointed in Level 10 of Pay Matrix with a basic pay of ₹56,100/- per month.
  • Eligible for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per rules.
  • Covered under New Pension Scheme/Unified Pension Scheme.
  • Entitled to medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited accommodation (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc., as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process Details

Written Test Venues: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram.
Note: ISRO may change/cancel any venue and re-assign candidates accordingly. Call letters will be sent only to the candidate’s registered email ID.

Written Test Pattern

Total Duration: 120 minutes (additional time applicable for PwBD candidates)
Paper Type: Single objective type with two parts:
Part A Area/Discipline Specific – 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying 1 mark.
Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answers, -1/3 for incorrect answers.
Part B Aptitude/Ability Test – Maximum 15 MCQs totaling 20 marks.
Marking Scheme: No negative marking.

Interview Shortlisting Criteria

Candidates will be shortlisted based on written test performance in the ratio of 1:5, with a minimum of 10 candidates.
For reserved vacancies, separate candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio (maximum), regardless of UR selections.
