Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university. Sufficient knowledge of Marathi to read, write, speak, and translate.
  • Experience (minimum 7 years): Practicing as Advocate in High Court or subordinate courts, or serving as Judicial Officer in Maharashtra Judicial Service, or working as Public Prosecutor / Government Advocate. Period as Law Clerk after provisional enrollment also counted.
  • Age Limit (as on 30.01.2026): 35–45 years (General); 48 years for PwD / Backward Communities.

Salary and Benefits

  • District Judge: ₹1,44,840 – ₹1,94,660 per month
  • Additional benefits: Dearness Allowance and other allowances as per rules
  • Probation: 2 years initial probation period
